Dear Fellow NECINA Members and Friends:

On behalf of the management team of year 2011-2012, I would like to welcome you to the 16th year of NECINA.   Since it was founded in 1996, NECINA has committed to its mission statements to

  • promote cutting edge technologies

  • foster entrepreneurship

  • maximize global reach.

Through technology conferences, seminars, business plan contests and other social events, NECINA has attracted hundreds members.  They are the professionals who want move ahead faster in their careers.  Some of them dream of starting up their own business.  They come to NECINA to associate themselves with the right people that can help and support them to fulfill their pursuits.  In NECINA, they find the mentors who provide invaluable advices; they find fellows and partners in their endeavors.

In this year, we will keep the momentum and continue our core value to provide high quality technical conferences and Special Interest Group seminars. We will enhance our role as a bridge between North American and the Greater China area.   In the meanwhile, we will explore new frontiers to move our organization to the next level.  Our PR and Marketing team will leverage the social networking media to build up stronger connection with NECINA members and the communities, to raise NECINA's awareness.  Our web team will continue to improve our website from a static bulletin board to a dynamic bi-direction information flow channel between NECINA and the members.  We are also seeking new formats of events to provide our members with more real and tangible hands-on sessions.  The basic idea is not to just being a cheer league but to get into the game.  Your ideas and initiatives will be welcome.

Our dedicated management team is what makes all the NECINA achievements possible.  They all have great hearts and want to make difference.  This year we have several younger generation officers taking over major leading roles.  Through the volunteer work, they grow their own professional skills in communication, planning, coordination and team work.  Come to join our staff team and you will learn more.

We welcome new members. We welcome new volunteers.  We welcome new ideas.

NECINA is your organization.  We are looking forward to another great year for NECINA.

Best regards,

Sean Shen
